Precision Transmission Specialists was founded in 1988 by our present-day Owner-Operator, Domenic Carbonara. What started as a couple of car bays with a front desk, has expanded into an eight bay, multi-vehicle, transmission specialty shop with the ability to service a multitude of vehicles from sedans and crossovers, to SUV’s and utility trucks.

Domenic started working in parts shops at a young age after coming to America from Italy. His knowledge of internal transmission parts became the key to building his American Dream, Precision Transmission Specialists. With significant part knowledge, all that was left was to put it all together in a transmission. Later, while working at a transmission shop, Domenic was able to excel through learning the transmission rebuilding process. Once fully grasped, he used his knowledge and experience to help build what you see here today, Precision Transmission Specialists, a transmission repair shop with over 35 years of well-known, reliable, and experienced business.

Today, Precision Transmission Specialists is still family owned and operated. We keep the same work ethic that helped found us, day in and day out dedication to the finest quality mechanical work and even better quality customer service. To us, the customer is our drive to produce our best work. Luckily for you, we are big enough to serve you, and small enough to care.
